This is what I've been doing all day today!

I've still got more to do, Jacque - as you know, it's a big garden! Some of the edges are hands and knees jobs, to snip up to the brick edges with shears...don't you find that lots of gardening is done on all fours?? LOL.

your right there Spritz, I start off using a kneeling pad but end up crawling on all fours haha

Thank you - but you haven't seen the rest! It's definitely a 'Forth Bridge' job from now on... more crawling around!

Looking lovely Spritz...my husband would be proud of you, he takes care of the grass and the edges, he does not trust me! it makes such a difference to a garden when the edges have been cut.

Holly, thank you - I shall tell 'himself' - he made it for me!
No, Dd, I do all the edging etc but I am NOT allowed to drive the sit-on mower! (I don't think I could get it in gear, anyway).

Looks great Spritz, you have been busy.

Did even more this afternoon - hands got a bit stiff with using the shears and edging tool...

good for you, i am itching to get out in the garden, but Brooke still has her cough and is off school still, i will get her out with me when she is a little better don't want to risk it with the cold winds we have had though. :-(

you are really commited Spritz! I use doing the edges as an excuse to gain more border area! so far hubby and kids have not noticed that their play area shrinks by at least 6 inches a year. I reckon by the time kids leave home only a small square will be left in the middle!

LOL. My beds grew again when I edged them... must have been an accident, don't you think?

If you have one of those half moon tools, they are good for doing edges against brickwork without having to get down on all fours

Thanks, Andrew - I shall try it out!
