Thanks guys,nice shrub but a bit smelly ,if you have one of these you will know what I mean ,if not they smell like cat wee ...

THey do but still very nice to look at. Sadly the one I had got old and very woody and eventually died.

They are tough little plants though aren't they. We hacked our right back as we needed to put up a fence and this spring it is in bud again. This was one of the only plants in our garden when we moved in - it must be a survivor.

We now have the pleasure of large flowering currents and forsythia - but in the garden we are using next door! In our own garden we wouldn't be able to let them get so large - in fact, we don't actually have any deciduous flowering shrubs!
