Frog spawn

I have just returned from a weeks skiing to find frog spawn in our 'Spring watch pond'. My boys are really excited as we only built it last summer following the TV programme.

Fantastic! The spawn makes a surreal abstract picture with the reflections in the water.
Last year some of the frogs laid their spawn on the gravel pathway, completely missing the pond. At the moment the frogs are beginning to become more vocal in our garden,but no signs of any spawn yet although its still early.
