Toto included photos of wood anemones in his blog mid-March - beautiful arent they, thought about trying to buy some online from a wild flower company - they would look nice amongst my pine trees, do you think BB?

Janey - I'm surprised you havent seen these before - there are loads of them in the woods hereabouts at the moment. I nearly crash my car every morning because I drive past a wood, which unfortunately I think it private, and is just carpeted with these - looks like the wood is carpeted with snowdrops - really spectacular - can't help looking as I drive past!
Dawn - Hope you find some :-)

Just on thing Dawn these prefer to grow under broad leaf deciduous trees - not sure they would like conditions under pine trees ..

Thanks BB - so they would be OK under my young oaks??
Sid: I'll try and get some when I know I can accommodate them :-)

Thanks Sid ... these plants must have been there for years and years, wonderful!

Yes - it's ancient woodland, so they've been there for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
