Green beans grown from seed, indoors, by our daughter in Montreal. Obviously this is the way to garden in Canada for an early crop!!!

Does your weather differ a lot from where your daughter lives ?

Yes, TT, Montreal has much colder winters and much more humid, hot summers. We have the Gulf Stream effect here on the East Coast, which gives us milder winters without the amount of snowfall build-up seen in Quebec and the other Atlantic Provinces, and cooler summers because of the proximity to the ocean. I actually have grape hyacinth leaves and day lily shoots appearing above the earth now! Wish I could get out there and dig, but my wrist injury won't allow it for now (see my latest blog for details).
Anyway, my daughter is picking away, and more beans are coming along.
