Not quite sure how long you have been here, but welcome to swansea anyway my friend. I would say that we have probably seen the last frosts by now, but then you never know with swansea. I would also suggest that you keep a close eye on your courgettes when you plant them as the slugs eat half of mine last year (the b------s). nice to here from you Oiorpata speak to you again soon. Tref.

Thanks Tref, this is my 6th year in Swansea, and the first one with frost that hung around for several days. Just when I had decided the winters here were always very mild.
The slugs have been terrible these past two years, all that rain did them a power of good. This year I'm fighting back, watering the ground with nemaslug every 6 weeks. It has certainly stopped them from eating the day lilies and violet leaves, the baby peas are up and (so far) unslimed, and this is the first year that the beetroot seedlings have survived long enough to be noticed. I'm enjoying it while it lasts, and hoping for a bit more sunshine between the downpours this coming summer.

You scared me there for a minute, I thought I was late planting mine if yours were already that size, but then I noticed the date on the picture and calmed down again. I've got some courgettes and potimarron pumpkin seeds for this year, but I wasn't going to start them for a couple of weeks. When does Swansea usually get the last frost night?
