it´s two different Sax. paniculata´s, Sedum acre (the greenish) and Sedum sexangulare (the more red with 6 "edges"). Between them a Potentilla which I took from a wild Lime-Hill last year and could´nt identify yet.

Greenthumb, here it is everywhere, too. May be, not so many subspecies or other ones. But this is, what I like the most: those earthcovering carpets of tiny plants, very narrow together sometimes, some are flowering, others not. All those bigger flowers with amazing colours - they don´t mean the same to me, and there are only few, which I want to share the rare space with.
Of course, when I´d have a real garden..... but even that would be somehow "wild". You see - I´m a city-human. Greetings. nelke. How far is spring at Your´s??

I love what you have going here Nelke, and understand what you are saying. I am a heavy cultivater, so I've got all that big flowery stuff. :-) As for spring, we're still under about 1 1/2 ft of snow. Warm now and we'll have leaves beginning of may, but this snow wont go! :-)

Hi, Greenthumb, "heavy cultivator"! I understand it like this: one always wants to have the specials and the uncommon...?.maybe, You want this highly cultivated beautiful flower-princesses and Flower-queens, because You sit right in the real wilderness, which I cannot even imagine in it´s roughness - and I, sitting 7 minutes by feet from the Center, want to have the rough and untamed ones...- but i don´t want to live on the countryside. Twice I did already. But went back.
I guess, You are highly integrated in the social rules of the outback-people, which I never was. And `felt like never a chance becoming one of theirs.

Ah, I understand. I'm a heavy cultivator in that I like to bring them in and spoil them rotten, give them a life like they went to heaven. :-) I do love your natrual garden, but yes, I have soooo much around me. :-)
