I have this honeysuckle as well Lori. The color is striking but it is true the wonderful scent is not there.

Awesome color, also a wonderful plant. Mine starts to bloom in March and blooms thru Sept. It's the hummingbirds favorite, not the mention main food source in my yard.

Hi Talljim...honeysuckle for sure if you have, or want to attract, hummingbirds...I'm going to look for the scented honeysuckle.and plant them close together...Another hardy plant that has an amazing scent is Amur Maple...It's blossoms are lime green...and most would not know it was blooming until the amazing scent wafts in and they start looking around for a lilac or a honeysuckle...it smells wonderful and the bees add a sound dimension....it sounds like a chorus warming up...different bees...different pitch...the song of spring...
