NoTastey, that is just the ridge of hairs you see. If you look closely you will see that his back, left leg actually disappears under his body.

I agree Lori but he was only about a quarter of an inch long.

It's probably a jumping spider... they are small woolly little fellas..and now you see them...now you don't! lol...Check out/google Salticus scenicus.
