I love this shot. It is so delicate and thinking of a hummingbird putting this together is a real joy.

that is so adorable! Lucky you to have the opportunity to capture images of this nest and babies and mama/or is that papa? Love the lichen on the outside of the nest and the soft down lining it. Ours gather the "fluff" from the windflowers, or Japanese anemones, which have gone to seed. We leave the seed heads and stems there all winter, esp for the hummers and other small birds that use the fluff for their nest lining. Sometimes when the hummers have nectar on their beaks, the downy fluff sticks to their beaks :)

Thanks Alandrapal. It's the mama that looks after these cuties. The nest are so tiny and beautifullly camouflaged. Yours must look like little old men in their downy fluff beards :) How nice of you to leave of the seed heads for them :)
