This is a gorgeous clematis, I love the unusual leaves - another plant I've not seen before, I am learning loads on GOY

i came across this when visiting a garden centre and really liked it, its so differant to normal clematis, as its alot smaller in leaf and flower, but yes its very pretty puddles

I've just purchased one of these but haven't got the fence up yet for it to trail along. It's in a large pot and flowering well with lots of shoots coming. I love the leaf shape.

yes its so delicate lindak,, so differant to the usual clematis, the leaves remind me of another plant but not sure which,,maybe a horthorne

We are having a fence put up to hide the driveway from the garden but the hedgehogs come through that way so when we put the gate up we are going to raise it at the bottom so that the hedehogs still can get through. We have left gaps in the corners of the fences so that they can get through to the other gardens. A tip for gardeners to cut a small hole in the corner of a fence to let the wildlife through.

thats a great idea lindak,, we have hedgehogs comming into our garden to, but never thought that they may want to go through, thanx for that

It was just a thought to share with others of the same ilk. God created us but he also created the animals and wildlife so we should respect it, be thankful for it and learn to share.

very true :o)

Video came out well of the hedgehogs on the night setting. I am going to try with the camera but don't know if I shall be that successful. We have another skip coming tomorrow so I shall get rid of a load of garden rubbish and the patio man is coming next week to build us a plain paved area to sit on in the Summer. Now the garden is getting more established with a few plants the birds are gathering to feed more.

hi denise its done nothing this year with flowers but has grown up a bit so not sure what to do, not sure if you cut this one back or leave it,

Found this about it on Gardeners world.com
'Early Sensation' produces masses of white flowers in spring which contrast beautifully with its finely dissected dark green leaves. It is best given the protection of a sunny wall. Height 4m, spread 1.5.m quite a small one height wise. They all mention protection on a sunny wall but non say anything about pruning it.

thanx for that denise, wonder if i should move it, doesnt get sun till afternoon but is protected, maybe if nothing next year i will try moving it,
