Are these plants commonly sold in your area?
I hope you get one soon! They are the easiest plant to
grow...they need very little water and thrive on neglect.

This plant and many of its hybrids are very commonly sold here. I originally purchased this plant in a 2 or 3 inch pot. It cost me only $1.99 five years ago.

Yes Delonix there quite commonly sold here as well. My local nursery has them and their display plant is now around 2 metres tall and absolutely stunning! I'm afraid the little ones are not that cheap to buy anymore.

I have seen 3 foot/1 meter plants for sale at Home Depot here for $25.00 which is a pretty good price considering they are not fast growing plants.

I purchased a variety called 'Ice Pink' last year at my local nursery for only $4.00 in a gallon container. It was reduced in price from $12.00.
I could kick myself now though -- because they had a purple-flowering variety reduced to $4.00 also...which I didn't buy.

Its beautiful Andy......How many years do they have to reach before the flowers start to come? ........Im really drooling now.............

They start blooming very young. I've read in a year and half or so from seed.
It blooms much faster from seed than the closely related Plumeria.

How often do you water your plant? Do you let it dry out between waterings? What do you feed it please?

I don't ferlize it very often. Maybe once a year with chelated 15-15-15... which is very cheap fertilizer.

In Summer I water my plant once its completely dry, which is twice a week.

Thanks Andy. I have been using a 10-15-10 soluble fert for houseplants but I wasn't sure if I should be using something different. I have been letting it dry out between waterings too. I figured treating it like a succulent would be best. But now you have confirmed what I thought. That helps a lot. :o)

The fertilizer you're using sounds good. In nature, Adenium grows in a monsoonal climate (dry in Winter and hot and showery/rainy in Summmer)
