Camelias are so beautiful. We can't grow them here in New Englad either. When I see them in southern gardens, I drool :)

We can get quite a hard frost, a couple of years ago it went down to minus 14, this year, minus 8 I think has been the lowest, this one is planted right at the bottom of a north wall. How cold does it get with ye ?

We can get quite a lot of -10 to -15. Sometimes we get very severe and go down to -25, but not every winter. 2 years ago we had a spell in February when it was only getting up to -20 in the day.

Keep posting the pics LIL. How much frost do you get in your part of France? I'd love to grow Camelias outside but I think we are too cold here in Hungary.
