yes...but the regular echinacea is still there doing well every year with little or no care!! There is a real case for protecting species with all the tinkering that's going on with our food plants and garden plants...won't be long til half the worlds crops require roundup to survive. Just watched a dvd of a documentary on Big Green...Monsanto... scarey stuff!

The white echinacea in my garden don't grow as tall as the purpurea... first white plant I had I put it in the middle of the bed...It disappeared when the season progressed...lol. OOOPs!
