Prunus virginiana melanocarpa

Prunus virginiana melanocarpa (Prunus virginiana)

For Spritz, our common chokecherry tree, this was last spring, they will come into bloom end of may. Not the clearest photo, this was before I got my camera.

Thanks for posting it for me - I'm glad that you do get some blossom - it really is one of the joys of spring!

Surely Spritx, I'll get another good shot when they come again. :-)

Arlene, the snow is leaving in leaps and bounds! I can't even keep up with it. I'm snapping shots for a blog so I can compile and post all at once. There are just a few piles left and I've uncovered my beds. Almost too late for the aquilegia, it was already sprouting up! Could frost anytime in the next five weeks, but it is nowhere near freezing today, almost 80F in town!!!! It's like a heat wave! I may have sunburned my face!
