Wow, wish I could get rocks like that here. Do you use them to decorate your garden?
I am considering painting some of my rocks, but then as the painting wears off, I will have to repaint or flip.
Maybe I will just stick some googly eyes on some of them! :P
Where are you travelling this summer?

I have time in August to drive around the state and visit all the places I haven't been for so long. Denali park will be in autumn color by then. That is where I'll find those lovely stones. Drive to the coast and walk the rainforest there. Devils club will amaze, I must photograph! And explore some glacier on Kenai peninsula, hike some turquise glacier rivers. Just re-see the state I live in. SO huge. It's been many years. I am flying to Utah to visit my family soon as well. Thats usually my once a year trip. :-) I've never collected the stones for the garden, but now, must! :-)

Very nice. I'll have to remember to collect rocks while I travel south in the summer. You can find big pieces of jade here, just wonderful dark green stones and hematite, shiny black. This one reminds me of some purples that are usually with them along the river shores.
