It was early morning and a dull day...they hadn't opened their petals... really should try for a better picture when the sun shines!

Thanks Flcrazy...I'm sure they must be common to most of NA...they grow near the edge of clearings...I've just posted a pic of the flower in full bloom, Toto... they are much pinker than they look here.
