Thanks, Irish, BB/Jane and Arlene! there are two or three kinds of ferns, dicentra, trilliums (white and red), wild ginger (great ground cover for deep shade), claytonia, raspberry canes...it's a little unspoiled eden. I had a wonderful time just rambling around taking pictures ...I have so many it will be a pleasure to look at them next winter. Do you have pics of the wild flowers in Ireland, Yorkshire and Wales??? maybe i should look before i ask aye? lol.

this is equivalent to our bluebell woods Lori~half the worlds bluebells are grown in the UK and this year seems to be a good crop!

Oh I love bluebells... My good friend, is an expat...she has pictures above her mantlepiece of spring woods, blue with bluebells... and she sighs as she remembers picking armloads, as a girl... Wildflowers are so special.
