This is a perfect photo Sid. Was the cowslip in the wild or is it one of yours. I want to grow some.

Hi Dawnsaunt - this is one that was planted in my garden - not wild. It's in semi-shade and seems happy there - I don't think you'll have any trouble growing them yourself :-)

I want some tall candleabra ones so I can set them by the pond or on the island :)

Ah, now, they are a different kettle of fish! Very beautiful too! I've just been given some young candleabra primulas. They like moist soil, so they'd be happy by your pond. My soil is very sharply drained tho, so I'm taking a bit of a risk with them....but you never know until you try :-)

Wow, let me know how you get on with them Sid. I bought some seeds but only 3 have come up :( May go out and buy a few plants. Just looked at the photo again, its beautiful.

Thank you :-) Good luck wtih your seedlings - I wonder if more will come up? Some of the seeds I sowed (various sorts) were a bit eratic....weeks apart in some cases.

Weird init! A couple more are through today so I've potted them on.

Maybe it was old seed?

I might contact the company as I set them as soon as I got them and they werent cheap - about two quid for 30 seeds.

I got them from www.secretseeds.co.uk. I sowed them mid April as soon as they arrived. I had some loosestrife seeds too and they've been fine.
