The pond is now exactly one year old and I am pleased that the edges are now almost completely covered by the plants. It's full of frogs and tadpols dispite ol' Rooster & Sphere, the fish. The water lilly is also looking strong :-)

very nice, i am having a few problems with my water barrel at the moment, the water is going off on a daily basis, i am wondering if it anything to do with the constant stream of birds bathing in it. :-(

Might be Ang - those mucky birds! lol I'm pleased my pond water has stayed very clear - I think the secret is lots of plants to shade the water. Hmmmm - lots of plants - well that's convenient isn't it?! Ha ha ha.....

lol...mmm this barrel has no fish or anything just plants....water garden...like you say more excuses...thing is none of the plants are doing too well becasue the birds keep squashing them before they get going :-( was thinking of investing in a spud gun...what do you recon lol :-/

Maybe a proper bird bath would lure them away? I could lend you Birtie, but to be honest she'd probably be more a problem than the birds lol
