Tulip, woodland

I've just bought this and am wondering where I should plant bulbs? Under trees snd shrubs or in my rockery garden?

My only suggestion is that they do look a little more "wildflower" like than most tulips, the flowers are a bit less substantial. I wish I had planted more close together to make more of an impact, and I like how they look better in a bed under a small tree than how they look in another bed that is more in the open.
