Carica papaya - Male Mexican Papaya

This is an unusual male-fruiting papaya plant. I have seen other male-fruiting papaya plants in San Diego.

How do you tell the male from female plants?

Meanie:
There's three types of papaya flowers. The male flower is usually on a long stem. The bisexual flower (which are considered perfect flowers because they produce fruit with out any pollination). The female flower are short and stout and need pollination from male flowers to produce fruit. Hope this makes sense.
