This Acer is on my want list.It was for sale they were large plants, would have meant leaving the wife behind
to get it in the car.it was a hard call !

yes I have to do it every year with the Rhododendrons otherwise I would never get through the paths. some people are horrified that I cut off pieces larger than the plants they buy in the nurseries

You can use your artistic side and create gaps between the branches and really shape the trees. A little bonsai-ish really.
