Will be interesting to see if it works for you, I tried it last year and it made no difference! My hosta's still ended up like lace curtains!
Have tried a different way this year, and so far.........so good.........

scouse I appear to have trapeze type slugs in my garden......after a good start the slugs have outwitted me and the copper tape and apparently are dropping in from above to get lunch!

hi mageth. copper wire still doing a grand job, have you tried another length of tape maybe an inch below/above the existing one. move all canes in case you have a pole voulter in the family.lol regards;scousemonk.(john.)

hi potty. if my hosta does get damaged then it will be all out war, home guard, big bucket and boiling water. i have given up on the beer traps, they seem to enjoy a pint, and a take-away on the way home. must be true scouse snails.lol. regards;scousemonk.(john)

LOL John.
I am trying a band of grit around the base of the pots, about 1"-2" wide, and making sure the leaves are not near anything else they could climb on. I put slug pellets on the soil before they started growing to catch any that got past the defences! I go out every evening with a torch and bottle of vinegar to reduce the population! All out war on them this year!
