how tall are they PP? they can get fairly high before developing a head.
Give them a chance.
This is a Kong Sunflower. Can get very high, but with the cool temps here they rarely do.

Some of mine are about 2 feet tall, I've got them in pots in my shed at the moment. The slightest wind will snap them and those pesky slugs and snails are on the warpath looking for something to munch on as it's been a bit wet here today. There's a line of snails along the top of the fence tonight....hope they're heading for neighbours garden, not mine!

P.S - I've also got one that's about 6" tall, called Little Leo and his flower is already out - bright yellow and open wide. Very pretty.

LOL They havent even got a stalk yet! dont know whats happened to them, I planted 5 in a large pot and some straight into the ground at least 6 weeks ago.
