Aquilegia viridiflora - 2009 (Aquilegia viridiflora)

An alpine aquilegia less than twelve inches in height. Requires a gritty soil in sun and shelter from too much winter wet

I've also tried this and lost it. Probably too much wet again. I need to remember to put "Hammers" cloches over things.

This one is not long-lived but I think winter wet would not help. I have mine in the lee of a yew that keeps the worst of the winter weather off it

Not that I've noticed but I have very little sense of smell

They are scented. Shame you cannot smell them. Even so, growing them well is a delight in itself.
