Yes they are wonderful little cups aren't they? this angle also shows how early they are too....the flowering crab behind is the only tree with leaves! the Eleagnus and Viburnums are only just starting with leaves.

Lori:
People do plant tulips... they just they need to be planted yearly.
When I planted some 4 years ago they grew well, however, I left the bulbs in the ground which was a huge mistake because the second winter they came up deformed looking (it wasn't pretty. lol)...not enough chilling to reset the bulbs. Tulips usually start growing in late January or early February. It's very tricky when to plant then in late fall also...because we can have warm to very hot weather through late fall.

LOL..maybe you need coolers like we use greenhouses...Know anyone with a large walk-in cooler where you could store a few potted up bulbs for a month or so?

Lori:
That's a good idea. lol. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with a large refrigerated greenhouse. : > )
