Well as it hapens, the shaddlecock fern can tolarate the sun. I had those in pots in the sun and did quite well, but you have to water them everyday though. I know have them in a shady area, as I had an empty area which I wanted to fill.

Well done Karensusan6, you will not regret it, they are such lovely and hard plants. If I may say so, when you plant it, mix some old rotten leaves with the soil. If you already got it planted (which I assume you have) just place the rotten leaves on top of the soil ............ Good luck :-)

I planted it in a pot above some lilies Louis, so I'll put some leaf mould over the top when I get home. I'm in Marrakech right now! :) thanks!

I realy like ferns but have no shady place to grow them, must find some that like the sun, do you know of any,?
