Thanks so much. A very different color. Hard to resist. I gave it to my Mother for Mother's Day (although I really wanted to keep it for myself!)

Hi Regina, Well I'm laughing because I just did a little "googling" on it and apparently it's a POISONOUS INVASIVE HORRIBLE SHRUB that is not only flammable but displaces natural vegetation and should be irradicated! yikes! I looked on a couple of different websites, and it seems that in the West this plant has overtaken many different types of vegetation and is almost impossible to get rid of. On the East Coast, everyone loves it and hasn't had much problems with it, from what I read. I have one, that I love, that is a purple color and emits a beautiful scent, and is very wild looking and interesting. My mother has three of them, and she loves them too. None of them have gotten very big in the last 4 years or more. It seems to me that if it's in a contained environment it will do well. Also, not sure what the "posonous" posting was all about, or who it's poisonous to, but I had baby robins last year, and they weren't bothered, and my dogs seem fine, and we have lots of squirrels and bunnies...so, again, not sure what to say about them, but they are sure are pretty and smell good!

Posionous invasive horrible shrub? How can one plant be so wicked! LOL
Come to think of it, I have one. It's a different color and I did not recognize it. Never knew it had a scent either. A friend of mine purchaed it for me after I admired hers. I loved it because it was wild and unruly. Must take some pics this holiday weekend. I have cats, squirrels, bunnies, birds, etc. and no problems. I guess the East Coast has weaken it's wicked ways.

Absolutely what I loved about it too..the fact that it is wild. But now I look at it just a little suspiciously! lol

He Regina,
did you post the nasty thing? lol...I have to say, the one I have in the front yard is a bit wiley, but I do love it. All I have to do is trim it, and it's fine. I think someone is spreading rumours!
