Mystery bush

This is growing at the back of my yard close to the woods. I started taking care of it last year and now I have noticed several others around the yard. Does anyone know what this is. I have a closeup picture posted also. Thanks!

No flowers, yes it looses leaves in the winter. It gets small berries on it. I was told it may be a gooseberry?????

Does this have any flowers ?
I guess it is deciduous ? Losing leaves in winter ?
