They are not nice Sanbaz........one of these had a little sad sparrow this morning........poor little thing.........

aww poor thing,, if i see them and younge birds around i clap my hands in panic,, lovely looking but evil

The one advantage of living under a rookery Sanbaz these and jays wouldnt dare show their face ..much maligned birds are rooks but to see small fledglings feed side by side with them when they would be able to swallow them whole if they had a mind to..

Interesting to see how many choose to nest so close to them so if like magpies they wouldnt risk it would they ?

sometimes nature is so cruel, but thats all part and parcel of the cycle of life i guess,,

I remember when I turfed our garden and magpies ripped a load out for their nest - great picture sanbaz
