i have at least 6 varieties of this. They are well behaved for me toto. i just cut them back when they have over grown their space.

I have been very disappointed with them - they don't seem to like me - I only have one that has come back and will flower again. The others just fade away after a year or two! :-(

oh thats not good. i have wichester fanfare and red wine under the canopy edge of the beech tree and another unknown one under the 'mock orange tree'. they ahve survived all the bad weather though they were knocked back to half their summer growth.
