Wood nettle getting ready to bloom, Aug. 22. The holes are a good thing ! That means butterfly caterpillars have been eating it ! I have this growing wild in the back ravine so I potted some for the front porch where Question Marks, Eastern Commas and Red Admirals find it and lay eggs on it every summer. It will sting, but not as bad as Stinging Nettle.
