We don't get any snails or slugs here Bonkers. I know how bad they are. I had to deal with them when I lived in California.

Thats what i thought our slugs & snails would think they'd died & gone to heaven with all those.

Thank God I don't have snails and slugs. I would go nuts if I found them all chewed up. The only animals around here who can do a lot of damage on the Hosta are deer. Deer absolutely love Hosta. Lucky for me I'm just far enough into the city to be bothered by them. Five years ago when I planted the ones in the photo they were only the size of tea cup saucers. There are three clumps of a solid green variety between and behind the two bushes in the bed. I will post a photo of them. They are about 2 feet high and over two feet wide. Since I started feeding my Hosta with fish emulsion fertilizer three years ago they keep getting bigger. I feed them three times during the growing season. About the first of the month on June, July and August. I pour two gallons of the liquid fertilizer between each Hosta. I use one table spoon to the gallon.
