Wow! how long did it take to get from seed to flower and what sort of conditions does it need?

I planted the seed in March of 2007 and it flowered in 2008, it takes a little while but worth it I put the seed in a small pot under a light and when the weather gets warm enough I put it out, these flowers arent really fussy If you would like seeds just let me know
