It's not harmful Zandra - I think he's rather good-looking!

I lived in Sydney for 9 months & we had a Tarantula move in with us!!
Somebody else moved in later & we forgot to tell him about 'Spike'. He legged it when he discovered him/her.

Now that was a great parting gift Meanie - we do get some great looking spiders over here. Hope you enjoyed your time in Sydney - beautiful city.
