I've got that series on video and really enjoy watching it.

Geoff was and still is my number 1 gardener. Still with us in print and DVD, thankfully. Have you ever visited Barnsdale Gardens ? He's very much still there, at every turn and his son, Nick, is a chip off the old block !! Magical place. :-)

i did visit once years ago, just after he had completed the series on small gardens........the artisan garden was my fav and I still use his book on cottage gardens.

Me too ! His series 'The Ornamental Kitchen Garden' got me into gardening and I check its (well thumbed) 'Jobs this month' pages all the time.

I went there the year after he died and absolutely loved it! I still dip into and use he GW 'Practical Gardening Course'. Did you see the 'Paradise Gardens' series where his brother completed the voiceover after Geoff''s death? Another lovely series.

Yes Wagger I did, inspirational wasn't it ? He always made you feel that anything he did in the garden, YOU could do it too and it wouldn't cost the earth if you followed his tips. Who wants to go out and 'buy' an off the shelf garden and miss all the fun, pleasure and satisfaction of doing it yourself ? Not Geoff, or me ! Great man - greatly missed.
