after my winter losses i'm planting them in big pots that we will cover in the winter. i have already replanted some and they are growing great.

That sounds good. Luckily, they are so very easy to grow from cuttings...and they grow very quickly.

Fantastic! I'm a big fan of Aeoniums.I'd like to know what species of palm that is as well.

The palm is Brahea armata - Mexican Blue Palm, which is very commonly planted here. This is just a very small palm...they can grow to 60 feet / 18 meters tall. I have posted many photos of larger Mexican Blue palms in the past.
