This is my neighbor's Reed Orchids...planted as hedges all along the side of the house. Photo taken May 27, 2009.

looks like high noon! my camera doesn't handle midday glare very well. I always have to wait til almost dusk to photograph anything white or bright!

Those are purple ones...they do have pink ones though.

Lol colour blind now I am hehe, perhaps its because it s next to the red, now you pointed it out and look carefully yes they are purple.

It happens. Sometimes the photos are not very clear nor depict the true colors. These photos were taken with my old camera.

Yes I have had the same happen with me colours look ok on my pc from my camera but soon as I upload they some times can look a different colour, heard it many a time on here.

Yes, when photos are uploaded to GoY they are compressed into smaller files, thereby decreasing the quality of the pic.

Yes I thought it was some thing like that which is a shame really spoils a lot of photos, in colour and clarity.

Unfortunately, the servers probably would have the capacity to store such large files...from so many members.
