I couldn't find a wooden obelisk to stay out all year round as a feature and for supporting climbing plants - so my husband made one!

Well done. I'm still waiting for a little picket fence to be finished. My beloved started preparing the wood a few weeks ago. It's sitting on the terrace waiting to be finished.

Well, the willow one I bought locally last year just fell over with the winds we had and even though I tried to anchor it, it was just too light. It fell apart at the end of the season, so it was a waste of money. This is heavy enough to stay upright in winds, and also it has brackets on each leg which will have metal pegs pushed down into the soil. I wanted something that would look OK with the wood of the Garden room and also the trellises. Couldn't afford oak, though! lol. I did have to keep on about Sweetpeas that were waiting to be planted out....that got it finished quick-sharp!
