Do you find that the Physocarpus leaves scorch in the sun?

I haven't had a problem with scorching on this plant. When the sun is at its hottest, it receives some shade from a nearby silver birch.

That's probably the answer, then. My Sambucus racemosa gets morning sun only and thrives - that's another that scorches, so I'm told.
