I'm really jealous. Can't attract any Finches (of any kind) into my garden. Even though I regularly put out Niger seed and this year I've even got Teasels growing in my garden(sowed them last year) in the hope that might attract some in the late summer/Autumn. Fingers crossed.

Don't be jealous we are just really lucky where we live that we get every bird that's going. Cost a fortune feeding them though!

Yep, we use the special niger seed feeders. They have a bright yellow lid Paulthegard, they found the new feeder an hour after I first put it out! We've had up to 7 goldfinches at one time feeding! We now have 3 feeders!

Lilymac, yep, we also spend quite a bit, we also buy mealworms, but the robins and greatits love them! It's just so rewarding watching them! Who needs tv when you can just watch your back garden! Lol!

Forgot to say, we recently tried hemp seeds and although they are a bit more expensive, all the finches love them. This morning we had five greenfinches at the hemp seed. Unfortunately, the squirrels like them too so they are best in a squirrel proof feeder.
