Clematis Niobe

Gorgeous colour Paul, just last week i planted one of these to grow up my obelisk.

Has your camera made them this colour? Niobe is deep red!
The clematis looks very healthy, though...:-)

Soaking wet with rain, Spitzhenry, and it was very dark and cloudy this morning when I took the photo.It looks more red when the sun is out. I'm fairly sure it is Niobe.

Have a look at mine - it's a velvety deep red - makes you want to stroke it! I put a photo of it in my clematis pruning blog. I do love Niobe... one of my favourites.

I've looked at blog ,SpritzH, and you've made me wonder now about the label. But I'll take another photo soon when flowers are dry.
