Perhaps...but I can only say that in my garden they are about 18-24 inches tall! Will have to post a pic of the Yellow Water Iris that I have planted beside them...they are really tall about 3 ft.

I have a rare purple Southeastern African Iris which
grows to 5+ feet tall...it blooms off and on throughout
the year.

Excellent close-up Lori, I love the two-toned 'beard' on this type. Now that you mention it, I wonder if any of mine are fragrant, I can honestly say I've never thought to check for some reason....Duh !

I have posted photos of this African Iris in the past...it's very unusual in how it blooms and looks. It develops new plantlets on the old flowers after a while. I've calculated that the flower spikes last for a year or so.

I will take more photo this year...however, I never know when it's going to bloom...I just wake up one morning....and surprise, it's blooming.

I wish I know the botanical name.

You have probably attributed the lovely scent to something else in your garden, because I can't imagine you missing the scent Flcrazy...it wafts...and strangely, I just realized this year that they were scented!! so who's DUH??!! lol....
