I posted many Grevillea varieties for you. This plant had intresting colored flowers, however, the close up of the flowers came out blurry.

im amazed at how many there are. thanks for all the photos. i've been on the web finding pics to. ;-))

This is just a few of the very many Grevillea varieties and species growing at the San Diego Zoo. Next time I go to the S.D. Zoo I will take more photos of different varieties for your viewing pleasure. : > )

Yes, there are many...however, they are not blooming yet...or I haven't seen them blooming.

The place to see Protea or plants in the Proteaceae family is University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC)...just 60 miles south of San Francisco. They have the largest collection in the state (maybe thousands of species). I've been there many times...however, it's been 11 years since my last visit.

Santa Cruz, CA. has the largest Brugmansia - Angel's Trumpets Trees I've ever seen...they grow almost to 30 feet / 9 meters tall. (I call them trees even though they are technically shrubs because they grow to tree-size there)
