This church was built in 1609 (called the "New Church" by the locals as the other church at the top of the town was built in the early 1500's). There's a painting over the altar depicting the Annunciation by an artist called Sassoferrato ....

Giovani Battista Salvi...1609-85....most of his works are versions of the virgin! beautiful stuff!...the annunciation...in sorrow...madonna and child... The NEW church...lol.. gotta love it!
