A clever way of fitting lots into a small space.

Please explain underneath my comment here about how this fits in with the rest of your plot.

You told me in an email, and I reckon other GoY members would be interested.
Thanks, Hamish.

its a small garden approx 20 feet wide x 30 foot long.(sorry I'm to old to think in metric. :-) ) laid to gravel, it was impossiblt to cut the lawn in winter, with a heart condition I needed an low maintenance garden. small beds I can sit down to work and a pegola to give height via clematis and a wisteria, have a lot of pots sown with bulbs and seasonal flowers plus veg. Little and often is my motto.

On TV today, gardeners were commenting that the lawn can often be the part of the garden which takes the most time and effort. Sounds like a good idea for you to have the gravel instead, Hamish.

I wouldn't worry about talking in feet and inches. I think the Americans are still measuring in those. Not sure about Canada? And the silver surfers on this site will just LOVE the imperial measurements. LOL

Thanks for explaining. I understand the photo area a lot better now. And I'll say it again~

super new avatar with the butterfly face !

Silver Surfer LoL! Good one TT, USA is still Imperial but Canada switched to metric in the 90's..but just like you Hamish Im too old to think in Metric, I cope by knowing a few markers like 10cm =4inches so I am constantly translating...Your garden looks great, love the gravel idea. Did you put anything under the gravel to keep down weeds?
