Ant licking the sweet sap from my peony.
You must admire ants. But if we were as smart and as strong as these guys we probably would have self destructed long ago.

I don't think that we would have self destructed Newfie as ants have to much intelligence and community spirit; unlike man.

Toto, you proved my point exactly, they are unlike man and can use these qualities to their advantage, not disadvantage as humans unknowingly would. :P

great photo. Hope that ant was able to control his intake, otherwise he'll have gone home with a tummy ache. Thank goodness for the ants though, otherwise our peonies would never open.

I have an ant's nest under my rudbeckia in my flowerbed..It's been there awhile, but they don't bother me, so I'll return that favor.
