Brachychiton australis - Broad Leaved Bottletree

This looks like the Brachychiton australis - the Broad Leaved Bottletree. It gets lovely white flowers like these.

Thank you so much! You're correct...it was driving me nuts...no knowing this tree's name. In this area there's many Brachychiton species...most of my other photos I took unfortunately were too blurry to post.

Glad I could put you out of your misery Delonix!! I do know what it's like not knowing the name of something - so frustrating. Shame your other photos didn't turn out as there are a few rather lovely brachychitons.

It can be very frustrating identifying trees and plants...especially when I know the name and can't remember.

Yes, there's many species of Brachychiton growing well thoughout California. They are so popular because of their flowers and drought tolerance.

I can always go back to take more photos...however, I think I need to buy another higher quality camera.
