My new flower bed since moving from Jacksonville, FL to Nashville, TN. Gardening heaven here.

Oh no, the weather is very different as well as the soil. Nashville is Zone 6, and Jacksonville, FL is zone 9. I spent as much money on soil amendments in Florida (cow mature compost, etc) as I did on plant material. The dirt here is a dream, dark brown and clay based. The only thing you have to do is make sure the soil is "fluffy". We have hard freezes here that support cottage garden type flowers of my dreams. :) Thank you so much! Leah :)

Ahhh, i didn't realise there was that much difference.
Your 'new' soil aswell as your freezes are closer to here in the UK then !!!
And here's me wanting your FL garden !!!!!!
So when i was there (lived there for a year about 15 years ago) all the nice gardens would have had a LOT of work done on the soil then ?
TN sounds a better bet for your 'cottage garden' Leah, you can really get stuck in now and 'go for it' !!! :)

Ah England, your country taught the rest of the world how to garden. In my "Bucket List" is the dream to attend the Shelby garden event! :)

I like your plants Leahjx, all your photos are lovely :)
Is it better for gardening in TN then, isn't the weather about the same as FL ?
